We have positions availble on the PTA Board for next school year.  If you would like to be considered for a position, please fill out the Bon Lin Elem PTA Board Position Form and return to your child's teacher.

Each PTA position has a specific job description and

the PTA works together on all projects.

PTA Board consist of these positions (brief descriptions:

President - presides at Board and General Meetings; coordinates work of board, represents Local Unit at Council Meetings, Regional Meetings and Conventions.  Confer regularly with principal.

Secretary - record minutes at all meetings; maintain current copy of bylaws; notify board of meetings; type all correspondence. 

Treasurer - have custody of all funds of PTA.  Keep a full and accuracte account of receipts and expenditures.  Present a financial report at every meeting.  

1st VP Ways & Means - Presidens in absence of President.  Responsilbe for organizing and coordinating with the principal and Local Unit for all fundraising events.  (limited to 2 per year)

2nd VP Membership - Conduct Membership drive, compile membership list, maintain any awards given.  Responsible for filing proper reports to State.  Computer skills required. 

3rd VP Parent Volunteer - Coordinate Parent Volunteers.  Make volunteer list and keep track of volunteer hours.  Coordinate Room Parents and Teacher Appreciation Week. 

4th VP Programs - Propose and set up topics for programs for PTA meetings.  Arrange speakers for PTA meetings. 

5th VP Student Recognition - Coordinate programs to recognize students for achievements.  Ms. Berry wants to focus on this next year to recognize our students for their achievements. 

6th VP Publicity - Compile, edit, produce and distribute PTA newsletter (monthly or every 9 weeks as determined).  Maintain BLE PTA website and Facebook page.

7th VP Hospitality - Work with PTA Board and committees to arrange any areas of Hospitality. 

8th VP Legislation - Conduct Citizenship Contest.  Keep general association informed of any Local, State or National legislative action.
