A Note From The President
My name is Tim Brown and I am your Bon Lin PTA President for the 2008-2009 school year.
I have a strong desire to build bonds, create relationships, increase awareness, and motivate ALL involved (families and community) to actively participate in the development of our children.
After our three basic needs (food, shelter and clothing), is there anything as fundamentally important as participating in the development of our most valuable assets, our children? We, your Bon Lin PTA Board, feel that there is not.
This year we would like to partner with YOU; your family, the teachers, the community and especially the students. We will attempt to find ways to allow the home and school to work more cohesively and in closer concert for the benefit of the children. We will also attempt to identify areas of concern to our members that are directly related to the educational, physical, mental, social and spiritual education of our children in the home, at school, in the community and place of worship.
Throughout the year we will attempt, with your support, to prioritize and address those areas that our members feel will most effectively benefit our children. Once identified, we will attempt to develop opportunities to address those issues. These opportunities usually take the form of offerings that require family and community volunteers to succeed. This is a large undertaking and will more than likely be an ongoing effort, much as raising a child is. Please join us in any way you can to make this year an enjoyably productive year for the Parents, Teachers and Students at Bon Lin.
